Kristin a PCV from PG came to Laguna to teach Karate classes to the kids and Self-Defense Classes to the women.
The boys and the girls loved Karate. However, the women were skeptical about coming to a self-defense class, but the women that did show learned a lot! It wasn’t a huge turnout (numbers wise), but I still believe it was a success.
After the classes that Kristin taught was a party for Stephanie a 12 year old in Laguna (however, she is originally from Orange Walk). They know how to throw a party. What a great time it was! The mother is a fabulous cook. She baked a beautiful cake and cupcakes. There were lots of games (musical chairs, dance contest, drinking (juice) contest, cupcake on a string eating contest, balloon popping contest.)
