Today Laguna Government School went to the spelling Bee thanks to Adrian… our spelling bee champ! We charted the Shols bus and the students who had uniform were allowed to go to town to cheer on Adrian. However, I was surprised not too many kids went, which is sad. Here is the parable that Mr. Garcia told the children: There were a bunch of barrels of crabs for each country and Belize barrel was the only one that did not have the lid on it. Someone asked how come Belize doesn’t have a lid and how come the crabs didn’t escape, and he was told the other crabs would never let the crab go up. The crab would always be pulled back down by the other crabs. The meaning of the story is that the people of Belize just pull down the others and do let the successful ones ever get ahead. Discouraging story…
