On June 21, 2010 we called a computer lab meeting with the village council, pta, alcalde, computer lab committee. They all voted to shut down the computer lab because there were mismanagement going on. The workers were not recording and collecting any money. Money was stolen out of the change box. The House of Prayer donated 5 packs of paper and I donated 3 packs of paper. Those packs went too quickly without any revenue. All 5,000 sheets of paper were finished in 2 months. We believe the workers and their family members were using the lab whenever they wanted because ink was finished in 2 months. Ink is $200.00 here in Belize too expensive for Laguna Gov’t School to replace. My principal was extremely upset that there was no ink or paper to print the final exams. Therefore, everyone agreed to shut down the lab and not to pay for internet anymore because we could not afford it. The lab will only be used for the schools use. It will be open in September, but without any internet. I am a bit sad one of my main projects just flopped. My new main focus now is opening a preschool in the Village of Laguna.
