On June 18, 2010 we took a school field trip to Belize. It was a one day bus trips to different educational sites. The teachers and I thought we would use the money from the football marathon to fund the trip. However, since we made no profit from the marathon that was not possible. Therefore, we had to look for outside donations (I believe Social Security was the one who sponsored our school trip.)
On our educational trip we went to the Orange factory. We learned how they make the all the juices made in Belize. It was very interesting.
We also went to the Belize Museum. I personally learned a lot of new things about Belize history that I did not know. I hope the kids learned too. I learned more about the Mayans and all the resources they made from jade. General histiry of Belize. I also learned about slavery and prisoners of Belize. In addition, we learned more about the animals and insects of Belize… so GROSS!
Kids on the Bus! No one vomitted yet!!
Getting ready to go into the Orange Factory... we had to wear head nets.
